Oslavany Historical Festival
The town commemorates an important historical event - the visit of King Ottokar I of Bohemia with his family and the consecration of Oslavany's first female Cistercian monastery in Moravia in 1228.
TOWN FESTIVAL WITH HISTORICAL PARADE
Originally a mining festival, the town festival is now the largest local cultural and social event with a programme throughout the weekend. On Saturday you can enjoy the popular historical parades in period costumes, folk crafts fair, knight's tournament on horseback, period and modern music, and the arrival of the historical steam train. And on Sunday, you can see for example Kukla mine on an unusual walk and ride along the mining trails. In the castle alley, garden, park and courtyard, there will be music and performances of artists, and wine tasting in the castle wine bar... In addition, there are refreshments and entertainment for everyone from the little ones to the elderly.
