Nosislav and the wine press
Beauty older than a century
In the town of Nosislav, with origins dating back to the 13th century, there is a church with a rarity... It is fortified all around, and you can see loopholes in the walls. Right in the middle of the village there is a wine press that is over 100 years old. It is made of oak and is typical of the local wine region. You can still hear the local Haná-Slovácko dialect here.
The small town organizes dozens of festivals a year, but we recommend the one in September in particular - Come to the pleasant wine event Open Wine Cellars! Where else would you taste young wine ice cream... Did you miss the Open Wine Cellars? Head to Nosislav to the amazing bio winery Vinařství Válka. As Mr. Válka himself says - he creates wine like a work of art.
