Watch the real starry sky
The Milky Way, the summer constellations, shooting stars... You just don't see that in a city where the light smog is too great. Take the kids and go to a place where it's not the neon signs, it's nature.
OBSERVATORY ŽDÁNICE
Light smog is not an invention of eco-activists, this type of pollution really exists. You may have a stargazing telescope by your window, but in the centre of Brno you have very limited chances to see any stellar objects worth mentioning. You can, of course, go to the Brno Observatory in the city centre.. Or go for a nice trip to the pure nature, which you can crown with a visit to the well-equipped observatory in Ždánice. Don't forget to download the starry sky map together with the Explorer's Journal!
Before stargazing, visit the local swimming pool, Butterfly Paradise and the Vrbas Museum at Ždánice Castle. We have put together and personally tested a few trips to this region of stories.
Ideal time
Ideal time: July-August (with clear skies)
