What can kids love more than jumping in the water all day? Pack your swimsuit and a blanket and enjoy a relaxing day at the swimming pool, which still exudes the atmosphere of the First Czechoslovak Republic.
You will splash in clean, chlorine-free water
The flooded quarry, called U Libuše by the locals, was transformed into a natural swimming pool in the 1930s. It has retained the atmosphere of a swimming pool from the First Republic era as if cut out of Vančura's books to this day. Children can slide on a concrete slide and jump from the bridges or walkways along the shore. The little ones will have a blast in the paddling pool or taking a ride on the boats with their parents.
After swimming, one will get hungry
You can have a small snack in the buffet or drive hunger away in the restaurant adjacent to the swimming pool. Sit back in the garden and watch the typical mummery that always goes with a good swimming pool.
If you bring your picnic equipment, the refreshments are entirely up to you. You can spread your blanket anywhere on the grassy beach or in the shade of the adjacent woods.
When you get tired of sunbathing and relaxing while reading a book, you can make your stay more enjoyable with sports other than swimming. They have four volleyball courts available to play a set or two.
How to plan a trip?
During the season (June-September) the swimming pool is open daily from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. There are several ways to get here:
Are you driving? Enter the Luleč swimming pool U Libuše into the navigation or choose Vyškov as your landmark. From there you will head to Luleč and find a large parking lot close to the quarry.
Do you want to have a beer at the swimming pool and enjoy not having to drive? Take the bus! In Rousínov, you can change to the connecting line 730 to Luleč and the journey will take you about 45 minutes.
