You don't have to drag your kids to Mount Everest or K2 to experience the joy of climbing and overcoming the fear of heights underfoot. Actually, it doesn't even have to be Sněžka. Go to a proper lookout tower just outside your door.
LOOKOUT TOWER KLUCANINA TIŠNOV
Come on a nice hiking trip just outside Brno - We have a map of the whole trip with tips along the way. Take deep breaths as you hike up the tower on the blue trail from Tišnov, the air is strong and clean. Moreover, if you choose May or June for the climb, chances are you'll see one of Europe's rarest (and most beautiful) flowers in bloom - The lady's-slipper orchid.
The Klucanina lookout tower stands on the Klucanina hill and is almost thirty metres tall. That's quite a lot even for a lookout tower... You have to climb 133 steps to the top. The reward is a perfect view of Tišnov and its surroundings.
On the way up to the tower you may have admired the treasures of living nature (the aforementioned lady's-slipper orchid), on the way down you can admire the treasures of inanimate nature. Follow the yellow trail leading to the cemetery and turn right after the Tišnov sign to Galerie Patriot. You will see the most valuable private collection of gemstones in the country!
