Meet the world's rarest parrots
Where do you show your children the richest, most beautiful natural colours? At Europe's only zoo that exclusively breeds parrots. Head to Bošovice.
PARROT ZOO BOŠOVICE
Over 100 aviaries, 500 square metres, over 200 parrots, over 50 species - In the unique family zoo in Bošovice, you will see parrots from 3 continents, including the most endangered species in the world such as the Cuban amazons or the red-fronted macaw.
There are several species of American parrots, macaws, and Australian cockatoos living here. African talking grey parrots may seem modest and uncoloured compared to their counterparts, but don't be fooled. It is this species of parrots that can mimic human speech best and most faithfully. And, of course, you'll learn a lot about the lives of exotic birds in their native homeland and in the wild.
The zoo grounds are wheelchair accessible, with lots of greenery, humidifying fountains, and a gazebo from where you can watch the birds and they can watch you. Grab a bite to eat at Kakadu Café.
